Project Engineering Manager
Full-time job, 40 hours per week

JOB DUTIES:
Plan and coordinate activities related to the construction and maintenance of commercial and retail projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to Eric F. Anderson Inc.’s quality standards. Oversee daily field operations, including subcontractor coordination, jobsite supervision, material procurement tracking, and construction sequencing. Promote and enforce jobsite safety and cleanliness in alignment with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols. Conduct value engineering exercises with architects and engineers, if need be, offering constructability and design intent reviews to enhance feasibility and control project costs. Participate in preconstruction and kickoff meetings with subcontractors, helping define project work plans, logistics, and sequencing to ensure efficient execution. Coordinate logistics and trade partner sequencing to minimize delays and maximize project efficiency. Serve as a key liaison between project management, clients, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring consistent communication and timely issue resolution. Track and manage subcontractor performance, including issuing weekly work scopes and verifying adherence to schedules and contracts. Develop and maintain detailed site logistics plans, including hoisting requirements and vertical transportation, tailored to project conditions and jurisdictional requirements. Maintain comprehensive field documentation, including daily reports, updated drawings, inspection logs, safety checklists, and permitting records. Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring high workmanship standards, resolving field quality issues, managing punch lists, and supporting inspection closeouts. Responsible for cost and schedule management by tracking field-driven scope changes, writing RFIs, processing submittals, and supporting accurate and timely change order documentation. Review and track Labor Daily Reports (LDRs) for self-perform crews to evaluate productivity and monitor gains or losses. Work under supervision.
EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering or closely related field with Twelve (12) months of experience in the job offered or as a Project Manager or Project Engineer or closely related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience of Twelve (12) months working as a Project Engineering Manager or Project Manager or Project Engineer or Civil Engineer or closely related field is required. At least Twelve (12) months experience with Construction Budgeting, cost evaluation, schedule review, and scope management ranging in project volumes from $500,000 – $4,000,000 is required. At least Twelve (12) months experience coordinating with owners, subcontractors, architects, and design engineers in Retail and/or Commercial Construction is required. At least Twelve (12) months experience with construction methods and materials and constructability review is required. At least Twelve (12) months experience developing RFIs, creating phasing schedules and reviewing submittals is required. All experience can be gained concurrently.

Referral Procedure
Candidates can be referred to any open position by contacting the Hiring Manager directly. If the candidate referred by the employee is offered and accepts the position, the Hiring Manager will contact the employee who made the referral directly. Upon meeting the requirements the candidate must apply with the Hiring Manager for the referral fees by providing the candidate name.
